NumberCrossIQ is a strategic number placement puzzle game where two players take turns placing numbered tiles on a shared grid. Points are scored based on which numbers you place and where you place them. The player with the highest score when the board is full wins.

Yes — NumberCrossIQ is completely free to play. Single Player mode (against the AI) is always free. Multiplayer requires a one-time in-app purchase called the Multiplayer Unlock. There are no subscriptions and no pay-to-win mechanics.

NumberCrossIQ is available on three platforms: iOS (iPhone and iPad via the App Store), Android (via Google Play), and directly in your browser as a Progressive Web App (PWA) at numbercrossiq.com. You can also install the web version to your home screen for an app-like experience without downloading anything from a store.

When you place a tile on the board, your score for that move depends on the value of the tile you placed and the values of any tiles already surrounding that cell. Higher numbers placed in positions next to other high numbers score more points. Position matters just as much as the number itself — a high-value tile in the wrong spot might score less than a lower tile in a well-chosen position.

At the start of each round, you receive a hand of numbered tiles. You can see your own tiles but not your opponent's. Each turn, you place one tile on the board. Play continues until the board is full, at which point the player with the highest total score wins.

No. Once a tile is placed on the board it cannot be moved or removed. This is what makes each decision in NumberCrossIQ so important — think carefully before you place!

If both players finish with the same score when the board is full, the game is declared a draw. This is rare given the strategic nature of tile placement, but it can happen in evenly matched games.

In Single Player mode you play against an AI opponent. It's a great way to learn the rules, practice your strategy, and get familiar with the scoring system without any time pressure. You can play as many solo games as you like, completely for free.

Multiplayer lets you challenge real players in real-time. You can create a private game and share a game code with a friend, or join an open lobby to be matched with another player. Games are turn-based, so both players take turns in real time until the board is full.

The Multiplayer Unlock is a one-time in-app purchase that gives you permanent access to all multiplayer features. There is no subscription, no monthly fee, and no advantage in gameplay — it simply unlocks the ability to play against other people online.

Yes! NumberCrossIQ supports cross-platform multiplayer. An iOS player can play against an Android player or someone on the web version. Everyone plays on the same servers regardless of which device or platform they use.

Single Player mode works offline once the app or PWA has been loaded. Multiplayer requires an internet connection since it involves real-time communication with other players.

NumberCrossIQ is fully localized in 15 languages, including English, Swedish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Polish, Russian, Japanese, and Chinese. The game automatically adapts to your device language.

If you've previously purchased the Multiplayer Unlock and lost access — for example after reinstalling the app — you can restore your purchase from within the app. Look for the "Restore Purchase" option in the settings or multiplayer screen.
